Agnes Hall:
Agnes Hall was born in Liverpool in 1943, one of six children. She was convent educated in Crosby in Liverpool and her further education took place in Liverpool, Nottingham and Leeds, culminating in a degree in Furniture Design. She spent 20 years working at Yorkshire Television from where she eventually retired as Head of the Design Group in 2000. She now lives on the Costa Blanca with her husband. Website

Avner Kornblum:
South African Avner Kornblum majored in Law and English Literature at the University of Cape Town. He has lived in four countries and had several occupations - from menial to mental - before being appointed Spiritual Leader of a metaphysical organization. His prose writings cover political satire, metaphysical adventure novels, books on physical, material and emotional wellbeing and travel articles. His poems - reflecting a variety of moods - are for adults and children. Website

Colin Hall:
Colin was born in Oldham, Lancashire, lived and worked for most of his life in the construction industry in the north west of England. In 2000, both he and his wife bought a camper van and they drove to Spain. Settling on the Costa Blanca, he started to write of their travel experiences. These were serialised in a local magazine under the pen-name “Colin Campsite”. He now spends most of his time creating his unique personalised story books for children and writing “The Expat” column in a local newspaper. Website

Jill Lanchbery:
Jill grew up in Central Africa, and her peripatetic lifestyle is reflected in her books. It was the death of her second daughter Alison in 1988 that made her re-evaluate her life and was the catalyst for her writing. Since then she has had articles and short stories published and been placed in several international short story competitions. She has written two contemporary novels, A Bucket of Ashes and Griefs and Fears. A biography of her uncle, musician John Lanchbery, is soon to be published. Website

Keith Geddes:
Keith qualified as a barrister and worked as an oil broker before eventually choosing teaching as his career. He was Head of four prep schools over a period of fourteen years and has now retired to live in Spain. Recently the family house was threatened with the possibility of losing some land to a proposed new development – which led him to write a second book about the Valencian Land Law. Keith plays golf and cricket and is an artist, he runs Twiga Art, a website for artists. Website

Mike Hillier:
Mike has been a professional in the building industry for more than 50 years and has controlled and run his own companies since 1975. He has written on various topics and in various forms for many years. More recently he has concentrated on novels and has so far completed seven – mainly thrillers, but also crime and human relations. He has plans to continue widening the field. Website

Mike Rendell:
Mike was born in Bristol and read Law at Southampton University. After graduation he joined a Bristol law firm and was a partner for thirty years. Since retiring Mike has written his first book 'The Journal of a Georgian Gentleman' telling of the life and times of one of his ancestors Richard Hall. This book was possible due to the fact that Richard recorded his life in meticulous detail in diaries and other notes. Website

Dick Handscombe:
Richard (Dick) Handscombe was born in Harrow and educated at Haberdashers Aske's and University College London. Retired early to Spain in 1994 after a very varied career in engineering, management, education and consulting spanning some 30 countries and forty industries. Seven management books were published when working and seven gardening books written with his wife Clodagh since retiring to Spain. Their joint gardening efforts now totally some 130 years. Richard is progressing a number of new book ideas. Website
